Fan of the Week

Week of 4/7- Cheryl
When did you first hear Aerosmith?
I’m not exactly sure when I first heard Aerosmith, but I remember being a fan as early as middle school (1978-1980).

What’s your favorite Aerosmith song?
I’d have to say "Mama Kin".

Tell us about your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
EASY! Meeting the band back-stage on August 28, 2002 at their concert in Jones Beach, NY. The guys were in three separate rooms, which we visited one at a time. The first room was where we met Tom, Joey, and Brad. Second room was Joe Perry, where he was hanging with his family. Lastly, just before we went to Steven’s room, I actually started shaking. He met us at his door and invited us in to “his house.” He was totally down-to-earth and wonderful.

Give us your funniest Aerosmith story.
Hmm, it would have to be the day I bought my first (and only) copy of Playgirl magazine. It was back in 1990, and the only reason I bought it was that Steven was on the cover. No nudie picks inside, though. It’s even more valuable to me now because Steven signed it when I met him 12 years later. What a guy!!

Give us your favorite Aerosmith lyric or quote (one liner).
Now THAT’S a tough question. Here’s a great one: “Tell me how it is that you can sleep in the night without thinking you lost everything that was good in your life to the toss of the dice?”

Tell us about yourself…
I’m a happily married mom of two. The first concert I ever attended—and the last three as well—was Aerosmith. While I had to wait until I was 14 to see Aerosmith in concert, my kids have had the privilege of seeing them twice already—before the age of 10!

Your favorite way to relax...
In the sun with a cocktail.

Your favorite breakfast...
Not very exciting, I’m afraid. I’m a big fan of Special K Vanilla Almond cereal with ice-cold skim milk.

Your words of wisdom...
There’s no point in worrying.
