When did you first hear Aerosmith?
The first time I remember anyway was when my dad bought me 'Big Ones' on cassette...which I quickly wore through
What’s your favorite Aerosmith song?
'Amazing' has been and will forever be my favourite song, the first time I heard it I was about 8yrs old and related to on a very basic level, and have always loved Joe's solo and Steven's scatting on that song...I always seem to rediscover that song and relate to it deeply in different ways each time.
Tell us about your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
Hands down, when I met the bad boys from boston at the GH:Aerosmith Launch in New York City...I found out about it on Aeroforce, didn't win passes, though my friend and I drove down through the night after already being up all day, got into NYC around sunrise, and proceeded to wait by the side entrance for hours, we first saw Joey roll up and caught a couple good pics of him, then Steven drove up and was signing autographs, and I managed to get him to sign a my copy of the 'Nine Lives' c.d. and show off my multiple Aerosmith tattoos to him! Next we noticed some noise around this giant tour bus, so we rushed over, and out come Joe F'n Perry! Got his John Hancock on my c.d. too, and shook hands with him, after not seeing Tom or Brad, we assmumed they were already inside so we started pleading with security to let us in, we brought to the point where they said if someone who won tickets doesn't show at will call to pick 'em we can take, so more waiting, then finally this girl walks up to my friend and i and hand us two of the V.I.P. passes, I almost died. The press conference, food drinks, and of course GH:Aerosmith were fantastic, then just as were about to leave as the festivities died down we ran in to John B. and had a little conversation, and then finally remembered I wanted to give him a copy of my c.d. but had left 'em in the car, got his autograph, and he gave us each a handful of joe perry picks...best...day...ever.
Give us your funniest Aerosmith story.
I think probably the funniest one was when I was 16 going into get my first tattoo, coincedently an aerosmith tattoo after seing them live for the first time in Toronto with Run DMC and Kid Rock...I go to get this tattoo done, and was a bit nervous, and was shaking a bit and the tattoo was getting really frustrated and yelled at me and was like "Is your name Smith?" I said no, so he came back with "Well its going to be if you don't stop F'n shaking. I stopped shaking, haha
Give us your favorite Aerosmith lyric or quote (one liner).
"When your road to heaven, is paved in hell, well it makes you wonder...why we're here at all"
Tell us about yourself…
Where to start, the beginning I suppose...thanks to aersomith, I'm a budding musician, though have my 'day job' to pay the bills...for now. I recently packed things up in Ontario and moved to the west coast in Vancouver, which is pushing me further in my musical pursuits, and found out that my cousin's best bud is the son of (sure the guys will like this) Jim Vallance. I'm 22, pretty laid back, and love karaoke, gotta rock out to aerosmith in public at least once a week!
Your favorite way to relax...
Either hanging out with my girlfriend Cheryl, playing GH:Aerosmith, and sitting in my 'studio' writting tunes till my brains ooze
Your favorite breakfast...
Sausage, eggs overeasy, with toast and coffee
Your words of wisdom...
Nothing is impossible
