Pam F.

Name: Pam

Story: The magic of Aerosmiths music grabbed me at the tender age of 12. They seemed so mysterious and sinister and I loved it. We didn't have the internet so our only way to see bands was live or in magazines.I would save my babysitting money to buy albums and magazines, even just for one article about this band. I would often lull myself to sleep with Night in the Ruts, front to back. Of course I had to get up and flip the record over, but it was so worth it. The songs are embedded in my brain, the music is in my blood, my soul.

I am now 43 and their grip on me is as tight as ever. As I have grown, Aerosmith is the one thing I have always kept with me. I have a disabled son  for whom I am the main caregiver . Everyone knows the one sure way to get me to take time for myself is to tell me Aerosmith is coming. The shows are my outlet, my one thing I do for ME.

I have also passed on the AeroTorch. My daughters first live music experience was seeing Steven at the Toys in the Sun Run in 2004. Her first Aero show will be this one in Tampa. : )

Do I deserve to win this prize? Sure, just as much as anyone else. Being at the show with my daughter will be the most important thing, a meet and greet will just be icing on the cake.
