Story: My girlfriend, Toby, of almost five years has had a love affair with Aerosmith for just about 20 years. The first thing she told me when I met her is, "You have to understand one thing about me. I will kill you and all your friends for Aerosmith" I thought that was the cutest thing I ever heard. As our relationship progressed, I learned just how obsessed she was with this band. Every time I drove with her in her car, it was always Aerosmith on the stereo and she knows the words to all the songs. The first time she saw them perform was in Tel Aviv, ISRAEL 16 years ago. Since then she has amassed a respectable collection of their albums, posters, and various memorabilia which worried me the first time I saw it all. To her, the music of Aerosmith is like water or air- it is free, happy, soulful and just plain BADASS. She sees it as music that transcends all barriers and is enjoyable by anyone; from the first-time listener to the most loyal fan. She made me realize the it is the music of Aerosmith that makes a party a PARTY. Her parties are dominated by the old turntable sound of Joe Perry and Brad Whitford wailing away, Tom Hamilton and Joey kramer rattling the window-panes, and Steve Tyler pouring out his soul with that inimitable voice of his. Some of the music that has become popular in the past 10-15 years owes its beginnings to the example set by The Bad Boys from Boston. They truly ARE America's greatest rock-band.

Earlier this year, her best friend of 17 years, Karen, whom she went to her first Aerosmith concert with, was in a terrible car accident and sadly passed away. She misses her everyday and I can tell that she is saddened that they will not be sharing anymore Aerosmith memories. In addition, because the economy has become so bad, her hours have been cut DRASTICALLY at her job and I know for a fact the only things she can pay for are her bills, food, and to finish up her Masters. She told me that this is the first time that they are coming to her city where she won’t be able to go with her best friend and won’t be able to afford to go to this concert.

This year has just been so terrible for her and I was thinking of how I could do something to put a smile on her face. SO, as a surprise for our fifth anniversary, I have bought us both tickets to go see them in Concord. I didn't have enough to spare for a meet and greet, and this is why I am writing. I know that she will probably have a heart attack, but I know this will make her truly happy in these hard times and that it will be the most unforgettable PARTY she has ever been to. This girl is so deserving of this and I'm trying to show her. I love her more than anything and would do anything for her for her. Please consider.

Thank you
