Week of 7/24 - Jeremy S.
When did you first hear Aerosmith?
The first time I remember hearing them was when I was about 4, and the video for Dude Looks Like A Lady came on TV. I loved the sound. I was hooked. My father gave me his copy of "Get Your Wings" on cassette the next day and that was the start of my love for all things Aerosmith.
What’s your favorite Aerosmith song?
Seasons Of Wither, without any hesitation. That song will always be not just my favorite Aerosmith song, but my favorite song of all time!
Tell us about your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
Meeting Joe Perry on his solo tour in 2010. Saw him twice on that tour in Providence RI...got to meet him the second time around and the man was just the nicest guy around. 60 years old, just got off stage from playing a killer 2 hour set, and still hung around to meet and greet everyone. Class act all the way through!
Give us your funniest Aerosmith story.
Well that would be the time I saw them and Motley Crue opened for them. Now I'm not a Motley fan at all, never have been (even though I share my birthday with Nikki Sixx), well as every fan has heard, I also had heard that "Dude" was written about Vince Neill and the guys in Crue...so I was expecting it in the set list that night, and it wasn't. However as the night went on, Aerosmith were about to play Last Child, and Steven asked Brad what song they were talking about and handed him the mic...Brad whispered, in a very shy voice, Last Child. I thought it was something else to see a guy who's played to millions all over the world, get so shy talking into a mic. It was the first time he ever spoke on stage, however it was quite amusing.
Give us your favorite Aerosmith lyric or quote (one liner).
"Out of everything I've ever lost I miss my mind the most" - S. Tyler
Tell us about yourself…
I'm just your typical Rhode Island born and raised musician. Grew up in Bristol, currently living in Warren...lived in a few different states over the years. Art and music are my true passions and the only things I've ever really known. The music bug bit me pretty early on too, since my father owned a music store my entire childhood. I spent all my free time there and it paved the way for what I do now.
Your favorite way to relax...
Sitting back somewhere alone with one of my guitars, preferably my 12 string if I'm trying to relax. Although sometimes, the only thing that will work is my good old Les Paul.
Your favorite breakfast...
Honey Nut Cheerios...best stuff ever invented!
Your words of wisdom...
If you suddenly find yourself in a world of doubt, look back at the moments that made you feel unstoppable. Own them. You can come out on top anytime you want.
