About Rock Stars of ScienceTM
Launched in 2008, the Rock Stars of ScienceTM (RSOS) is a philanthropic campaign of the Geoffrey Beene Foundation to raise awareness of the instrumental research of leading scientists throughout the nation. By matching accomplished researchers with famous musicians, the campaign celebrates and supports our top scientists—the true Rock Stars, whose research saves millions of lives and inspires future generations.
Featured in the 2012 December issue of GQ, Joe Perry of Aerosmith teamed up with researchers from the Geoffrey Beene Cancer Research Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The piece features researchers with one goal in mind: to eradicate cancer. Rock on with Joe and Billie Perry in this campaign to eliminate cancer.

About Geoffrey Beene Cancer Research Center
Established in 2006 by the Geoffrey Beene Foundation, the Geoffrey Beene Cancer Research Center at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center is focused on achieving major advances in controlling cancer and producing better outcomes for cancer patients, with the ultimate goal of making cancer a more manageable disease and perhaps one day a curable disease.
To achieve this goal, the Geoffrey Beene Cancer Research Center provides funding to physicians and scientists to support novel early-stage ideas focused on bench-to-bedside research that will have impact on direct patient care. Since 2006, the Geoffrey Beene Foundation has provided over $126 million dollars to the Geoffrey Beene Cancer Research Center and continues to provide annual funding for grants, research events, and fellowships to educate the next generation of researchers.
100% of the donation you provide will go directly to support the work of trailblazing physician-scientists dedicated to curing their patients of this disease.
