Gone Fishin' / NOT!
Please anybody outside of the Tri-State area send good vibes to the Sox, they need it! I'll get back to the SOX in a minute.

So much for taking a year off! Albeit the guys haven't seen each other that much since Atlantic City. That doesn't mean that they are sipping Tahitian Tingles and passing the Coppertone at some tropical oasis. Let's start with Steven:

The guy can't stand still! He's like the Energizer Bunny. Steven is involved with several charities and he was asked by his good friend Bob Herne to take part in the Middlesex Human Services Agency Motorcycle Ride that took place on September 26th. The event raised money for homeless shelters and soup kitchens. Ironically the ride went from Waltham Mass to Manchester N.H. and ended at a Harley dealership that is operated by Steven's cousin. Steven did a couple of radio interviews in Boston (LISTEN here Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 ) and he met his cousin with the same name (different spelling) for the first time.

The interviews were a blast! He did the first one on WZLX in Boston, which is located right in the center of town in the Prudential Building. He reminisced with his old buddy DJ Steve Sweeney. Later it was over to WAAF to chat with Mistress Carrie. She claimed to be a huge Aerosmith fan but seemed dumbfounded when Steven told her there is a line in Draw the Line were he mentions a girl named "Carrie" and it could be her. First off "Draw the Line" came out in 1977 and this rock /goth chick was either a gleam in Mommy and Daddy's eye or spitting out Gerber's Peas and Carrots over Grammy's new afghan. Either way I think she did an OK job but she went a little heavy on the icing.

Steven also took part in Denis Leary's Celebrity Hat Trick Hockey Game. Steven really respects Denis for his work with the Leary Firefighters Foundation and loves to take part in this event. He helped coach one of the teams and spent more time kibitzing with fans and signing autographs than watching the game. Teresa and Chelsea went and had a ball yapping with the cast from "Rescue Me." They really got along well with Jack McGee who plays the Fire Chief. I asked Teresa how long have you and Steven been friends with this guy, and she said "just met him today." He was a funny bastard and sang like a bird!

Steven and family also went to the Red Sox / Angels playoff game and was interviewed on National TV. Check out the new issue of Flaunt magazine. Steven and Chelsea appear in a photo spread. Looks like Steven took a few tips from Gene and Paul with the make up. Ouch!

Tom has been quite busy himself. He too took part in Denis's charity but he played golf the following day instead of hockey. He played with some pretty heavy hitters in the sports and movie biz. Tom doesn't consider himself a golfer and I played with him and I can tell you folks he's not lying. He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat. I'm kidding because he won a few dimes off me that day.

Tom represented the band at the Boston Music Awards. Bobo won best album and Tom gleefully accepted it. He also presented Scissorfight with best local band or something. After that he and his wife Terry flew over to the Fleet Center to catch Pearl Jam. Tom can be
found nowadays in his new studio banging out demos.

Speaking of studio's has anyone seen Joe Perry lately? The guy is like a mad scientist mixing up a batch of rock and roll and getting ready to splash it on some plastic discs real soon. He did come out to do a book signing in New York last week for Jill Rappaport's book, "People who we know love Horses, and Horses love people that know them" or something like that.

It's a great book Joe and Billie helped with that contains dozens of celebrities with their Horses.

Proceeds go to charities, so go out and get it. He did mention at the signing that he has a solo record 80% done and should be ready for release in April 2005. I heard it! It rocks! No word yet on a tour but if I know Joe he will assemble a kick ass band and meet the masses before the next Aerosmith record.

Joe also went to the Patriots/Dolphins game last Sunday in Foxboro with his kids. The Perry's celebrated their son Tony's 18th birthday with a record 19 straight wins by the Pats. He also has a new hot sauce coming out to burn your tastebuds.

Joey took part in the 1st Annual Concourse D'Elegance put on by Ferrari Maserati of Long Island and Americana Manhasset. The event took place on October 10 and was followed by a VIP reception hosted by Giorgio Armani. Word from the event was that all of the Ferrari's were fully gassed prior to Joey's arrival.

Speaking of Cars (do you like how I tie all of this in)? Brad was in Loudon, NH. Last week playing with his toys. In this case, they are real NASCARs. A complete day for Brad is spending a sunny Sunday afternoon under the hood of a finely tuned machine and coming out of it smelling like Goober Pyle after he just did a break job on Aunt Bee's Edsel.

It's true! On November 23rd you can see the fully uncut version of the A&E special that aired last June when the DVD hits the stores. The DVD will contain never before seen bonus footage of the band in studio and on stage! This can't be described as anything but AWESOME! It's what you have all been waiting for.

Until next time!

See you around! Go SOX!
