2 mega rock bands on 1 stage and up-and-comers, Saliva, rounding out the show. How are you going to fit 3 bands with all that equipment, blood, scarves and high voltage on 1 freakin' stage? Aerosmith's production manager, Charlie Hernandez, has a few tricks up his sleeve to make it all work and it will be revealed real soon - so keep it here.
I know what your thinking, this guy has to say it's gonna be great because he works for Aerosmith. Not true, I really believe that if you're a rock fan and with prices of concerts so high this summer for all shows you'll get the most bang for your buck with this kickass extravaganza. All right - enough about pushin' the tour, you guys want to know who's going on last? How long is the set? And how long are they going out together for? Right? I have no fucking idea! Those questions will also be answered in the very near future.
Steven, Joe and Tom joined Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley for a radio release party, if you will, on Good Friday to announce the co-headlining tour of both bands this summer. Gene and Paul were in an LA studio, Tom was down in Fort Meyers, Florida at a radio station and Joe and Steven were at WXKS in Medford, Mass. If you heard the interview you can see there is some history between the 2 bands. I've seen Gene, Paul and Ace Frehley at Aerosmith shows over the last 10 years and I've gone to Kiss shows with Joe, Tom and Brad, too. Unfortunately, it seems Kiss will be playing without an "Ace" in their deck this summer. Joe, knowing Peter wouldn't be on the radio, show gave him a call in the afternoon to touch base and tell him he looks forward to touring together.
Well, that's it folks, it's happening!
Other things to look forward to are the Blues release which is sounding awesome - and a possible club tour, which could happen, too. Very sketchy at this moment. You never know.
See you on the Road.
