When did you first hear Aerosmith? The summer of 1975 my best friend's older teenage brother and his buddies were sitting around the pool sneaking beers (they were still under age) and blasting "Sweet Emotion" over and over again, the pool and the Summer Sun were perfect but the AEROSMITH soundtack made it that much better!
What’s your favorite Aerosmith song? "IF" I had to choose ONLY one it would have to be "LAST CHILD" the groove in that song was made to make women grind.......... and when I found out much later that it was Brad laying down those juicy leads, my RESPECT factor for the QUALITY of his LEGENDARY riffs went through the roof. BRAD WHITFORD a quiet "MONSTER PLAYER" hiding in the shadows!!
Tell us about your most memorable Aerosmith moment.
Tried and tried and tried to get tickets for the Toronto show back in NOVEMBER 2005, but they were all sold out on Ticketmaster............... pissed off and depressed because I didn't want to see my favourite band from the "nose bleeds" the little voice (which I do my best to listen to often) said go online NOW!! Long story short I get tickets 15 rows from the stage and right up against the left side runway. The boys walk down the runway put thier backs to each other(Steven, Brad & Joe) and "stop time & space" to rock to DREAM ON right in front of ME!!! What a moment that was as I and others around me were speachless as I enjoyed my R&R heros while I spun the spurs on Joe Perry's boots.................. BEYOND COOL!!
Give us your funniest Aerosmith story. Grade 7 music class everyone had to pick a favourite band to do a "Book Report". 90% of the class chose Zeppelin .................. IT DIDN'T EVEN CROSS MY MIND, I picked Boston's Bad Boys. Played 3 songs "Back in The Saddle" , "Last Child" and "Big10 Inch Record", everyone dared me to play Big Ten Inch so I did! The classically trained Chinese teacher Mrs. Wong was really grooving to this song, she said "she liked the big band jazz sound. When I asked her "if she liked the Big Ten Inch?" the class burst out laughing when she said "I like the Big Ten Inch "vewee much!" She gave me an odd look when I said I imagine most women would............. She gave me a 9 out of 10 (bitch) then again no one got a 10 in her class! (just her) ha ha!
Give us your favorite Aerosmith lyric or quote (one liner).Steven Tyler is a poetic genius one of the many reasons he stands head and shoulders among his peers! "Shove my tongue right between your cheeks, I haven't made love now in 25 weeks, I hear that your so tight your lovin' squeaks, cuz I'm ready so ready" ..............are you kidding me!!! who writes s@*t like that NOOOOBODY, I hope to use that sometime soon as an "icebreaker" when approaching some hot blonde!!
Tell us about yourself…A fan from way back, I'm a single dad of two great kids who works way too hard in construction but still trys to find the time to put a band together to "rock out", it's coming! And so are the original songs I've written lyrics to ............ NO doubt influenced by this Legendary Band, who haven't you guys influenced??
Your favorite way to relax... Sitting around with friends whose company I enjoy (they're more like extended family members, from a different gene pool) it's even better when I get around other musicians and artists who eventually help out with my song writing ideas.............. we all get lost together!
Your favorite breakfast... Anything I can get around to making, most times it's usually a cup of tea and some toast. Breakfast in bed with the right waitress would be most likely my meal of choice! There's that Steven Tyler s@*t pouring out of me again, GOD I love it!!
Your words of wisdom... "You don't get what you want in life you get what you are"...................so BE the source of all the good you want to have pour into your life!! I think it's a more accurate and truer statement than "What comes around goes around"............. if that's the case then it doesn't say much about the idiots we keep re-electing to lead our countries and consequently our world!!
